我們將於2023年11月12日(星期日)於香港大會堂音樂廳舉辦為奧比斯蒙古兒童救盲項目籌款慈善音樂會，我們十分感謝您對音樂會的支持。
感謝各位響應呼籲，購買音樂會門票或直接捐款支持奧比斯。除了此籌款網頁，已有數位善長透過其他方式捐贈，合共港幣30萬元！
你的捐款能讓奧比斯實現這次計劃，改善蒙古兒童眼科護理的質素和普及性。
The Charity Concert for Orbis' Pediatric Eye Care Project in Mongolia will be held on Sunday 12 November 2023 at the Hong Kong City Hall Concert Hall. We highly appreciate all the support you can give to our concert.
We deeply appreciate the overwhelming response to our appeal, as many of you have not only purchased concert tickets but also generously donated to support Orbis. Apart from the online fundraising page, several generous individuals have donated through other means and we have raised an incredible amount of HKD300,000!
Your donation will enable Orbis to implement this school screening initiative to improve the quality, accessibility and affordability of pediatric eye care services in Mongolia.
My reason for supporting Orbis
約六分之一蒙古學童患有不同程度的視力障礙，其中大約九成源於屈光不正，即遠視、近視或散光。然而，當中七成卻因各種原因未能驗配眼鏡，矯正視力，令他們的學業和身心發展受阻。為此，奧比斯將與蒙古教育部門合作，在烏蘭巴托市及五個省份引入麻省視力篩查模型（Massachusetts Vision Screening Model），並培訓當地教師、治療師與眼科醫生為學童進行視力篩查。奧比斯也會供應篩查所需器材，並向有需要學童免費提供眼鏡。項目所得數據也會支援我們的有關研究工作，希望能幫助推行全國校園視力篩查政策，讓世世代代的蒙古兒童受惠。
In Mongolia, 90% of visual impairment cases among students are due to correctable refractive errors. However, 70% of affected children face barriers in accessing eyeglasses. Orbis plans to partner with the Mongolian Ministry of Education to implement the Massachusetts Vision Screening Model in Ulaanbaatar and five provinces. The team will provide training and vision screening equipment, and also distribute eyeglasses to students in need. This initiative aims to address immediate challenges and collect data for ongoing research. The goal is to establish a nationwide vision screening policy, empowering Mongolian students to learn and thrive.
來自教育（Julia）、醫學（Johnny）及室內設計（Petrus）三個不同專業領域的我們都相信，保護我們的下一代，提供最佳的環境來培育和促進他們的成長是我們的責任和發展理念。由於適當的視力對於兒童學習新事物、與人互動以及欣賞世界之美非常重要，因此延遲檢測可矯正屈光不正（兒童最常見的視力障礙之一）可能會嚴重影響兒童的整體發展。儘管許多發達國家廣泛開展兒童視力篩查項目，但蒙古等一些貧困地區仍然缺乏足夠的財政和技術資源。因此，我們希望透過即將舉行的慈善音樂會，以支持奧比斯實施這一項極其有意義和影響力的學校篩查計劃，以提高蒙古兒科眼部護理服務的質量、可及性和可負擔性。我們相信，我們對奧比斯在蒙古這一重要的兒科眼部護理項目的支持可以改變生活，為我們所愛的子孫後代創造更光明的未來！
Coming from three different professional fields, including education (Julia), medicine (Johnny), and interior design (Petrus), we all believe that it is our responsibility to protect our future generations and to provide the optimal environment to nurture and facilitate their growth and development. Since proper eyesight is important for children to learn new things, interact with people, as well as appreciate the beauty of the world, the delayed detection of correctable refractive errors, one of the most common visual impairments in children, may significantly affect the overall child development. Although childhood visual screening programs are widely available in many developed countries, some underprivileged areas, such as Mongolia, are still lacking adequate financial and technological resources. We therefore would like to conduct the upcoming charity concert to support Orbis to implement this extremely meaningful and impactful school screening initiative in order to improve the quality, accessibility and affordability of pediatric eye care services in Mongolia. We believe that our support to Orbis for this important Pediatric Eye Care Project in Mongolia can transform lives and create a brighter future for the future generations whom we love!
