Hi everyone, this is Chris Polanco 陳杰 - Singer-Songwriter & Music Producer who has been based in Hong Kong for 25 years. I am honored to be endorsed by Orbis Hong Kong as the 2025 Philanthropic Trip Ambassador this year!
We will be going to Ethiopia deep into the village to engage first-hand with patients who are suffering from serious eye conditions, visiting primary and tertiary healthcare units. I am humbled to learn and understand the needs of less privileged individuals and children in remote locations, and support the mission of Orbis of fighting global blindness by bringing sustainable systems in eye care treatment and prevention.
I would like to invite you to support this noble cause. By taking action now, we could make a difference together with your help in preventing blindness and providing quality medical care for a brighter world tomorrow!
大家好，我是Chris Polanco 陳杰。我是一位唱作歌手兼音樂製作人，從25年前開始定居香港。今年我非常榮幸獲奧比斯香港邀請，擔任2025年慈善探訪大使！
我們將深入埃塞俄比亞的偏遠村落，親身接觸患有嚴重眼疾的患者，走訪當地基礎及專科醫療機構。懷著謙卑之心，我希望能深入了解偏遠地區弱勢群體及兒童的需求，並支持奧比斯通過建立可持續的眼科治療與預防體系來對抗全球失明問題的使命。

My reason for supporting Orbis
One of my personal missions is to share my music and positive energy with different people around the world. I believe music is a universal energy that breaks the barrier of language, religion, skin color, culture, and different point-of-views. I also believe that music is a soul-healing source and could advocate on mental health and wellness.
I'd like to take this opportunity to share and raise awareness to people from a more privileged upbringing about the scarcity and poverty that the other places in the world is experiencing at the same time we are living in. I would like to motivate the younger generation to cultivate appreciation, and to get involved in helping others with Orbis' missions.
多年來我秉持一個心願：用音樂與正能量連接世界。我相信音樂是跨越語言、宗教、膚色、文化與觀念隔閡的通用能量，更是治癒心靈的源泉，提升身心靈健康。
藉此機會，我希望讓被命運眷顧及享有更多資源的我們意識到：當我們享受當下時，世界另一端正經歷著資源匱乏與貧困。更希望能身體力行，激勵年輕一代培養感恩之心，積極參與奧比斯的慈善事業，用實際行動幫助需要援手的人。
