Activity details and how to support
I will blindfold myself and walk around my district (Kowloon station Podium) at night, for around 20 minutes with my acquaintance. I will start from waterfront tower 6, go out of the waterfront then go around the MTR station, and with the help of my acquaintance, will cross the road at the zebra crossing, I will also walk around the Sorento area with more steps, and zebra crossings. After that, I will make a return trip back to the Waterfront.
My reason for supporting Orbis
The purpose of this activity is to experience a first-person perspective as a blind person and to have a taste of the difficulties they face in life daily. The obstacles (zebra crossings, steps, paying attention to people) would allow me to struggle, which would help me recognize the difference between a person with healthy functioning vision and a blind person. After the whole activity, I will share my reflection with people who are willing to donate to this activity.
