一場疫症，令大家無可奈何地在家裏「坐困愁城」。即使如此，我們仍能望見窗外的綠、天上的藍、落日的紅。在我們等待「重見天日」的時刻，在世界的其他角落，卻有很多人確確實實地在等待重見光明。雖然很多捐款活動都因為疫情而停頓了，但現在你只需要安坐家中，按按手機，就可以簡單、方便地支持奧比斯的救盲行動，任何人也可以是慈善「家」! 請大家一同為更多有需要的人開展光明視野。
Due to the pandemic, many of us are “grounded” and are longing to see the beautiful scenery soon. However, there are many people around the world who need help desperately because they will not be able to see anymore without prompt and proper treatment. Many volunteering projects have been on hold or delayed but it does not mean that we cannot continue to help others. Simply stay at home and we can continue to help those in need just by several clicks on Orbis website! Charity begins at home, let’s action!
My reason for supporting Orbis
支持奧比斯可以說是情意結。還記得五歲的時候因為參加一個畫展，當時就以奧比斯飛行眼科醫院為題畫了一幅充滿童真的畫，也將在生日會上籌得的善款捐贈給奧比斯，自此便和奧比斯結緣。到現在我已經是一個十七歲的「童望之友」，還拿了第十二個奧比斯紀念章呢!我希望在未來的日子可以憑自己的能力，繼續幫助更多人重見光明。
I knew Orbis when I was only five. My parents encouraged the guests to my birthday party to donate to Orbis in lieu of buying gifts. I was lucky to have the opportunity to visit the Flying Eye Hospital when I was in primary one! Since then, our family has been donating regularly to Orbis Kids Sight Friends Program and I have already got my 12th Orbis badge this year! I hope the Flying Eye Hospital can continue to fly high and I look forward to receiving the 20th Orbis badge!
